Welcome to Yoga Macrobiotic Vacations

THE SANIBEL CONNECTION

Sanibel Island is a barrier island in the southwestern part of Florida and is connected to the mainland by a three-mile long causeway, hence the name, "The Sanibel Connection." Famous for its extraordinary shelling, guests will awaken to beautiful sunrises over the the Gulf of Mexico and will have time to wander up and down the pristine white beaches to gather these beautiful little gems of natural art before the morning Yoga class.

While close to the mainland, Sanibel Island feels remote and relaxing. More than half of the island is preserved in its natural state as part of the J.N. "Ding" Darling Wildlife Refuge. This 5,000-acre sanctuary offers trails for hiking, biking, canoeing or kayaking. The "Ding" Darling houses more than 200 species of birds along with alligators, turtles, river otters and other wildlife. Guests can walk for hours on the beach or take bike rides on paved bicycle paths which follow most major roads on Sanibel Island, making it a paradise for bikers, walkers, joggers and in-line skaters. Other attractions on Sanibel Island include the Lighthouse Beach & Fishing Pier, the Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum and The Sanibel Historic Village & Museum.
